PH open to collaborating with BN in the next GE

Pakatan Harapan is open to discussions on collaborating with Barisan Nasional in the next general election, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The Prime Minister said PH’s collaboration with Umno as component parties in the unity government has been satisfactory.

“Our relationship with Umno is good so far and it is satisfactory to collaborate again in the future.

“We are open to discussions,” he said to reporters at the sidelines of the nationwide mosque muktamar for Al-Aqsa and Palestine.

The collaboration began post generation election in 2022 when the 16th Agong suggested the formation of a unity government.

This was because no coalition had a simple majority in parliament.

Talks about collaboration was raised in the Umno AGM that concluded yesterday.

Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Salleh pointed out that BN may go solo in the next general election.

Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, however, dismissed it altogether.
