93.17% early voter turnout in Mahkota

The early voting for the Mahkota by-election saw the highest voter turnout with an astounding 93.17% voter turnout.

The Election Commission confirmed the figure at 3pm.

The early voting involves 4911 voters from the police, armed forces and other government agencies.

The polls in Mahkota is a straight fight between BN man Syed Hussien Syed Abdullah of Umno and Perikatan Nasional’s Mohamad Haizan Jaafar of Bersatu.

The polls would be held on Sept 28.
