Dulal Brothers sentenced to one year imprisonment for cyberbulling Esha, humiliating mother

B Sathiskumar, better known as Dulal Brothers on TikTok has been sentenced to one year imprisonment for cyberbullying TikTok influencer A Rajeswary, better known as Esha.

Esha, 29, was found dead in July at her home after filing a report that she was harassed on TikTok.

The sentence was given by Kuala Lumpur sessions court judge Siti Aminah Ghazali after Sathiskumar changed his plea to guilty to two charges.

The judge called for both the sentence to begin concurrently from the date of his arrest on July 10.

Sathiskumar apologised and admitted his wrong doing on the dock.

“I am guilty. I won’t do it again. I ask for forgiveness, ma’am (judge), I won’t do it again,” he said from the dock.

The first charge against him is intentionally making obscene remarks to hurt others via his TikTok account on June 30 that was framed under section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act.

The second charge was humiliating Rajeswary’s mother R Puspa through the same TikTok profile. This was framed under section 509 of the Penal Code.

Sathiskumar was first charged in July.
