RM20 million allocated for Hindu crematoriums nationwide
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has promised an allocation of RM20 million to build Hindu crematoriums nationwide.
“There would be about eight crematoriums, each would cost about RM2.5 million,” said Senator Datuk C Sivaraj to Harapan Daily.
He said this based on a meeting that Anwar had with all Indian MPs and senators yesterday.
Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo was also present in the meeting.
Sivaraj added several issues were also raised to the prime minister.
“I suggested that pre-schools be build at all Tamil schools. It would serve as a feeder to ensure the schools would not have a problem in registering new students.
“The matriculation issue is almost settled,” he added.
