An irrelevant, unnecessary call from DHPP man
Pas Supporters Wing (DHPP) information chief Balachandran Gopal Krishnan’s call for non-Muslims to vote for Pas rings hollow.
He claimed that Pas brings justice as guaranteed by the Quran and Sunnah.
“So, they don’t have any other choice. They used to say that (Prime Minister) Anwar Ibrahim was there, but he had clearly given false hopes.
“If the Indians want to enjoy well-being and do not want to be sidelined, they must vote for PAS. That’s the current reality,” Balachandran was quoted telling PAS mouthpiece Harakahdaily.
He also urged non-Muslims to go to Pas administered states like Kelantan, Terengganu to see how life under Islamic rule is.
Balachanchandran’s call for non-Malay votes is the echoes of desperation since Pas had been successful at obtaining the Malay Muslim votes.
What is there to see in the Pas administered states?
In recent times, Pas administered Terengganu created controversy by restricting celebration of Chinese culture and customs.
While the unity of Kelantanese regardless of race is unique, there are hardly any non-Malay, non Muslim community in Kelantan.
In short, multiracial Malaysia that one sees in Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, Penang, Sabah and Sarawak does not exist in the Pas led states.
Balachandran also recently dismissed the suggestion of a Pas delegate who called for Pas members to marry non-Muslims as a way to increase their vote bank.
What Balachandran said about it? He called it a joke.
Dignity and honor of human being is a virtue in Islam. Clearly Balachandran and his party men does not see that.
He does not give a damn when his party members and leaders demean the non-Malay, non-Muslim community.
Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang has a record of doing just that. And he has done that to Chinese, Indians and Sarawakians.
What was Balachandran doing when Hadi did the above? He did nothing but kept silent like a country mouse.
Last but not the least, no political party owns a religion. Pas doesn’t own Islam.
The best Muslim would be one who practices his faith diligently without enforcing his beliefs upon others.
