Female MPs lead Johor DAP, Nie Ching is chief

As expected Kulai MP Teo Nie Ching was named Johor DAP chief. She received the third highest vote.

She is the first female state chief.

Outgoing chief Liew Chin Tong had reiterated his call for Teo to lead the Johor chapter.

Kluang MP Wong Shu Qi is now Johor DAP deputy chair.

Penggaram assemblyman Gan Peck Cheng and Sheikh Umar Bagharib Ali were named state vice chief.

Chin Tong himself now serves as an ordinary committee member.

Others who made it into the committee are Johor assemblypersons Liow Cai Tung (Johor Jaya), Wong Bor Yang (Senai), Ng Kor Sim (Jementah), Chew Chong Sin (Mengkibol), Labis MP Pang Hok Liong, as well as Alan Tee, and Yong Hui Yi.

Skudai assemblyman Marina Ibrahim, Bentayan assemblyman Ng Yak Howe, 15th general election candidate for Pontian Shazwan Zdainal Abidin and Dr Ruban Arumugam were co-opted into the committee. They are from the Dr Boo Cheng Hau’s team.
