Former lawmakers, MPs in the limelight because PN is not functioning
Former DAP lawmaker Dr Ong Kian Ming came under fire for criticising Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who hit out at Malaysian elites who preferred English over the national language, Bahasa Malaysia.
In AMANAH, ex-Sepang MP Hanipa Maidin has constantly taken the government to task over a myriad of issues.
Both Ong and Hanipa were deputy ministers in the previous government.
Similarly, in Anwar’s own party, PKR, Pasir Gudang MP has consistently been at odds with the administration.
The same can be said of the Keluar Sekejap duo, Khairy Jamaluddin and Shahril Hamdan who are critical of the government when there is a need to be.
This actually means that the opposition front Perikatan Nasional is not functioning.
Bersatu and Pas does not seem to have the grey matter if the issues at hand is not related to race, religion and the royalty.
Policy making looks into an issue from various perspectives, not just the 3R subject matter.
Unfortunately, this is not happening where PN is concerned. As a result of that, former lawmakers steal the limelight for giving an alternative view on a specific topic at hand.
