The secret behind MIC- DAP cooperation in Penang
While relations between MIC and the rest of the ruling coalition may appear to be rough at the federal level, that is not the case in Penang. What is the secret behind MIC-DAP cooperation?
Is it due to mutual respect? Or mutual understanding?
Or have they buried the hatchet and are in a brotherhood? Perhaps it is the age group.
According to Penang MIC chief Datuk J Dhinagaran it is all of the above.
“In Penang we can work together with a very good understanding. When I say something, Rayer listens. We know each other for long years.
“Or is it because we have mutual respect for each other. We are childhood friends. We know each other very long way,” he said in reference to Jelutong MP RSN Rayer.
“The same goes for Dr A Lingeshwaran. Maybe its the age group being a plus point for us,” he said in reference to the Penang senator.
Rayer and Dhinagaran are in the 50s. Lingeshwaran is in his late 30s.
Rayer is chief commissioner in the Penang Hindu Endowment Board. Dhinagaran and Lingeshwaran are board members.
