12,871 Indians joined public universities

A total of 12,871 Indian students joined public universities in the academic year of 2024/2025.

The figure is the total number of students who gained entry via SPM and STPM examinations.

“The total number of Indians with SPM results who applied, qualified and were offered a place in the public higher education institutions for the academic year of 2024/2025 are 8,529 candidates.

“The total number of Indians with STPM results who applied, qualified and were offered a place in the public higher education institutions for the academic year of 2024/2025 are 4,342 candidates,” said Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir in his written reply at the Dewan Negara.

He said this in his reply to Senator Sivaraj Chandran.
