Probe on PHEB: One detained by MACC
The Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) has detained a former Penang Hindu Endowment Board (PHEB) trustee yesterday.
The trustee was held overnight for questioning.
According to a source it was over a number of fund misappropriation funds under the previous PHEB chair.
Both the current PHEB chair RSN Rayer and the MACC have remained tight-lipped on the matter.
In a related development former PHEB chief P Ramasamy was barred from getting on a flight to Aceh.
Ramasamy claimed the immigration did not him through due to a request from the MACC.
He questioned the barring since he was not charged, nor questioned by MACC over what is believed to be related to a forensic audit that was submitted by Rayer to the anti-graft body.
