Cyberbullying: Justice must be served now

Two days ago Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah called out against bullying and cyberbullying.
“Cyberbullying and bullying in general must not be allowed,” said His Royal Highness while commenting on the death of A Rajeswary aka Esha several months ago, reported The Star.
One B Sathiskumar aka Dulal Brothers was jailed however another suspect in the case, Shalini Periasamy walked free with a slap on the wrist – RM100 fine for uttering vulgarities.
Malaysians generally were pissed off with the slap on the wrist.
Esha wasn’t the only one who was cyberbullied by both of the above individuals. In fact Esha is the third TikTok influencer who died over a period of five years.
A second report was lodged by another TikTok influencer, Hema Subramaniam.
The police have completed their investigations against the duo and handed over the investigation papers.
Now, would justice finally be served?
Malaysians want justice served. We have missed it once. Along with innocent lives.
This cannot happen again.
Justice delayed is justice denied.
It is in the hands of the judiciary to ensure justice.
After all, it is also the call from the palace.
As for TikTok, their content moderation team simply does not exist any longer.
Last night another woman was cyberbullied with derogatory remarks and abusive language.
