KLSCAH: Controversial International Youth Rationalism Forum continues as scheduled
Kuala Lumpur Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (KLSCAH) has confirmed that the controversial International Youth Rationalism Forum 2024 would continue as scheduled.
“The organisers are renting the hall. No one has revoked the permit so the event is on,” said a KLSCAH staff who declined to be named.
The International Youth Rationalism Forum is scheduled to be held tomorrow from 8.00 am to 4.30pm.
Yesterday, Penang Hindu Endowment Board chairman RSN Rayer who is also Jelutong MP urged the Home Ministry to revoke the permit and ban the forum as the speakers promoted Tamil Nadu’s Periyarism which includes atheism and anti-Hinduism.
He also pointed out that the event was promoting values against the first tenet of Rukunegara – Belief in God.
Malaysia Hindu Sangam and Malaysia Hindu Dharma Mamandram have lodged police reports against this event.
A similar event was also held last year.
