Ayurveda practitioner cum fake doctor caused my mother’s death…

An Ayurveda practitioner claiming to be a doctor treated a chronic kidney disease patient over a period of six months in 2022 that led to the patient’s death.

The fake doctor had told the patient to keep away from modern medication. Six months after receiving treatment that used unrecognised Health Ministry medication, the patient’s health worsened.

The patient had to be sent to Seremban Hospital. She, however, passed away in August 2022.

Since then the Ayuvedic treatment practitioner turned fake doctor has expanded his business by opening up more branches.

A police report was lodged against the practitioner cum fake doctor yesterday in Puchong by the late patient’s daughter.

In the report sighted by Harapan Daily, she stated that the fake doctor also claimed to be a Datuk Seri who operated without a license in Bandar Puchong Jaya.

She also stated that her family had spent over RM10,000 for the alleged medication from the fake doctor.

“The medication given are neither labelled or nor recognised by the Health Ministry.

“I am lodging a police report now to alert the authorities since he has opened up several branches.”

A list of medication given to her mother was also shared.

A check on TikTok indicates that that the fake doctor operates in Puchong, Selangor; Kluang and Skudai in Johor; Teluk Intan in Perak and Simpang Ampat in Penang.
