Siti Mastura’s ‘pig’ is a double whammy for Pas, PN
Kepala Batas MP Dr Siti Mastura Muhammad who is in the news today for paying RM830,000 over a defamation suit has hit a double whammy by drawing similarities between pigs and infidels, generally attributed to non-Muslims.
In the now taken down post, she insinuated that “a pig will still be a pig even if it is worn in a coat and necklace while a kafir will still be a kafir even if he’s named after Islamic figures.”
Clearly she who is also Penang Pas information chief trained her guns at Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming who is fond of quoting the names of the first caliphate.
Though the post has been taken down, the graphics of a pig that she used is still accessible on some FB groups and pages.
The post has touched the raw nerve of the non-Muslim community.
Shameless PN components
On this note, questions have to be raised to the shameless non-Muslim parties and wings still aligned to Pas via Perikatan Nasional.
“Where is your backbone Gerakan?
“Don’t you have any dignity, MIPP?
Both these parties represent the interests of the Chinese and Indian communities, respectfully.
Questions will not be raised to Senator N Balasubramaniam who leads the Pas Supporters Wing (DHPP) as the Pas wing only squeaks to back up their political masters.
Siti Mastura’s post also goes against Pas’ goal of winning over the non-Muslim votes.
Perhaps, that is why she deleted the post later.
Double whammy
Why is the post a double whammy?
One, it distances Pas from the non-Muslim voters even though there are indicators that it is targeted at Nga. One must remember the most recent Pas AGM saw the party discussing ways to woo the non-Muslim vote shares.
Two, it further damages the standing of the non-Muslim parties in PN.
How many times does Pas expect Bersatu to put out the fire that Pas itself started?
Bersatu associate wing deputy chief S Sanjeevan had previously admitted that Pas is the reason that non-Muslims keep away from PN.
