Over 700,000 drug addicts in Malaysia
Malaysia recorded 703,857 drug addicts from 2020 to September last year.
The state with the highest number of addicts is Johor with 78,363 addicts.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the data was based on statistics from the National Anti-Drug Agency, New Straits Times reported.
Other states also include Selangor (72,109), Kelantan (71,230) and Kedah (68,778).
This is followed by Terengganu (61,297), Pahang (59,716) and Perak (56,468), while Penang recorded 47,118 cases, Sarawak (40,396), and Sabah (37,868).
