Klang DAP throws its support for Lim Guan Eng

Klang DAP took the lead in Selangor in throwing its support for national chairman Lim Guan Eng.

“The CEC polls this time is not merely about choosing leadership. It is also a manifestation of our commitment to continue serving the people and the nation,” said Klang MP V Ganabatirao.

“The delegation present here fully supports the leadership of Lim Guan Eng,” he added.

He said this at a Dinner with DAP Leaders in Klang yesterday.

Similar support was also extended to DAP secretary general Anthony Loke Siew Fook, deputy chairman Gobind Singh Deo and vice chairman Nga Kor Ming.

The event that was meant to garner support for Lim who is also the Bagan MP in view of the central executive committee polls.

It was attended by over 300 delegates from 120 branches from three parliament constituencies – Klang, Kota Raja and Shah Alam.

Other notable DAP leaders who were also present were national deputy chairman and Damansara MP Gobind Singh Deo, Puchong MP Yeo Bee Yin, vice chairman and Seputeh MP Teresa Kok, Penang DAP secretary and Tanjong MP Lim Hui Ying and Guan Eng.

The support for Guan Eng comes several days after an appreciation dinner was held by Penang DAP for DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang.

Media reports indicate that Guan Eng may face challenges in retaining his position in the party’s top decision making body.

DAP’s national polls is scheduled to take place next month.
