Allocate 10% of what is given to Bumis for the non-Bumis, says Lim Guan Eng

In supporting the Additional Supply Bill of RM20.2 billion and an additional RM2.3 billion for development expenditure, Lim Guan Eng (PH-Bagan) urged the government to allocate 10 percent of what is allocated to the Bumiputera community for the non-Bumiputeras.

“I also would like to suggest that the unity government allocate 10 percent of what is given to the Bumiputeras from the Budget to non Bumis.

“For example the PN Budget in 2022, bumis were allocated RM11.4 billion whereas non Bumis only received RM345 million, which is three percent.

“I support any amount given to the Bumis but what is being requested is to raise the 3 percent to 10 percent for non Bumis

“For example if RM12 billion is allocated for Bumis, please give 10 percent or RM1.2 billion for non-Bumis.

“This is in line with the unity government’s goal to take care of all the people,” he said in his debate on the Additional Supply Bill.
