Interesting numbers in DAP’s CEC candidate list

DAP has announced that 70 candidates would be vying for the 30 spots in its central executive committee polls during the 18th national congress this month.

Here are some interesting statistics from the candidate list.

45 out of the 70 candidates are MPs and state assemblymen

15 out of 70 candidates are female

There are a total of six Malay candidates of which three are members of the legislative assembly.

As for Indian candidates, there 16 candidates include one female candidate. Six of the 16 are in the government. The Sikhs are included in the list of Indians.

There is only one Sarawak Bumiputera candidate vying for a seat in the CEC.
