MIC leader set to debate Indian Muslim convert preacher later this month
MIC deputy president Datuk Seri M Saravanan is set to debate controversial Indian Muslim convert preacher Zamri Vinoth Kalimuthu over the latter’s offensive statement.
“I take note you have accept the challenge for a debate. The topic is simple. You claimed that Hindus carry kavadi while chanting ‘Vel Vel while dancing as if one is possessed or drunk.
Saravanan added that the debate would take place on March 23 at 11am and it will be organised by Dewan Bahasa Tamil Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.
“As for the venue, I give you the freedom to choose it anywhere in KL city.

“I am awaiting for your confirmation,” he added in a Facebook post addressed to Zamri.
Saravanan also took a screenshot of Zamri’s post who accepted the debate dare.
The offensive post by Zamri was posted in reaction to the offensive action by three ERA FM deejays recently that mocked the chanting of Vel Vel which is synonymous to the Thaipusam celebration.
For the record, Saravanan who is also Tapah MP carries the kavadi regularly.
