DAP, a Yes man to Malaysian voters
DAP is only a Yes man party to the voters and people of Malaysia, stressed said the party’s national chairman Lim Guan Eng at the party’s 18th national congress which would also the election of a new central executive committee.
He also reminded Pakatan Harapan chairman and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to repay the voters trust by accelerating economic reforms for the betterment of Malaysians.
“Let me stress that DAP is not a Yes-man party. DAP is only a Yes-man to our voters and the people of Malaysia.
Speed up reforms for to repay voters trust
“We commend the political and institutional reforms that have been implemented by Datuk Seri Anwar’s government this year.
“We hope that economic reforms will be included and accelerated this year to repay our voters’ trust that PH will make Malaysia better for our children.”
He also stressed that US President Donald Trump’s tariff policies would hurt Malaysian businesses.
“Donald Trump’s tariff policies will hurt Malaysia’s economy and businesses, especially SMEs.
“We hope that additional financial assistance can be given to businesses affected by Trump’s tariffs as well as postpone or delay some financial policies that will impose extra monetary burdens.
Only one secretary-general
Lim also addressed the issue of allegedly two teams within the DAP. One was allegedly supporting DAP secretary general, Anthony Loke. The other was supporting him.
“There is only one leader in the DAP, the Party Secretary-General who will set the party’s direction. I would like to thank the DAP leadership and all members for your cooperation and support.
“Let me remind our delegates here – old, young and new that DAP’s success today can be attributed to doing the right thing and doing things right for Malaysia as well as our unquenchable fighting spirit.
“As long as DAP members stand together in upholding our principles and ideals, we will never be defeated by our opponents.
