Zamri Vinoth remanded for two days

Controversial Indian Muslim convert preacher Zamri Vinoth Kalimuthu, 41 has been remanded for two days, until tomorrow.

The two-day remand order given by Magistrate Ana Rozana Mohd Nor in Kangar.

This is over his Facebook posting on the relocation of Sri Pathrakaliamman temple issue in Kuala Lumpur.

He alleged insulted the Hindu faith and threatened public order.

Zamri is represented by 10 lawyers led by Zuhair Ahmad Zakuan.

He is facing charges under section 4 (1) of the Sedition Act 1948 and section 233 of the Communication and Multimedia Act.

He was arrested yesterday.
