Subang finally gets its first public healthcare facility

After championing the cause for a public healthcare facility close to 12 years, Subang residents would be getting their first public healthcare facility, thanks to Subang MP Wong Chen of PKR.

He revealed the task that he undertook to make this a reality, since the healthcare facility project was postponed for three years during Khairy Jamaluddin’s term as Health Minister.

“In total and over a period of 12 years of campaigning as your MP, I asked 17 Parliamentaty questions and did two special Kamar Khas hearings in Parliament on this matter.

“In addition, there were so many meetings with ministers and officials, lobbying and promoting the project.

He also thanked the prime minister for expediting the request for a public healthcare facility

“As such, a very big thank you to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for finally delivering this.

“I last spoke to him on this matter when he visited Mydin Subang Jaya just before Hari Raya. I asked him to please expedite the matter and he has delivered.”

The public healthcare facility is Klinik Kesihatan Jenis 2 Subang. It would be able to treat 800 patients a day.

It would be constructed in USJ 1.
