Pakistan is a threat to humanity, says AIMIM’s Owaisi

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asadudin Owaisi who is also Hyderabad MP described Pakistan as a threat to humanity due to its role sponsoring terrorism.

This comes in the wake of the BJP led Indian government roping in MPs across political divide to solidify India positioning following the strikes that India conducted on Pakistan due to the terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir.

“Pakistan with its long history of sponsoring terrorism has become a threat to humanity,” adding that this would be at the core of his message as a member of an all-party delegation being sent by the Indian government to key world capitals.

“India has been a victim of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. This began during the time of (former Pakistan President) Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, and we need to tell (the world) about this and also about the Kandahar plane hijack, 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, 2001 Parliament attacks, Uri and Pathankot incidents, killing of seven tourists in Reasi and Pahalgam.

“This is a danger for humanity. I am not aware about the group I will be part of and who is going to be the chairperson. We need to put forth India’s story. Pakistan is trying to project itself as an Islamic country, but India also has nearly 20 crore Muslims. We need to tell (the world) about this as well.”

“Destabilising India, fomenting communal divide and stalling the country’s economic rise are part of Pakistan’s unwritten ideology,” he asserted.

“They are doing this tamasha since then. They will continue to do it tomorrow and are not going to stop,” he remarked, reported Press Trust of India.

On that note he also called upon Türkiye to reconsider its stance in supporting Pakistan based on Türkiye’s historical connections with India.

“Türkiye must reconsider their stance of supporting Pakistan. We must remind Türkiye that there is a bank in Türkiye called İşbank, whose earlier depositors were people of India. Türkiye has many historical connections with India,” he said.

“We must constantly remind Türkiye that more than 200 million honourable Muslims live in India… There are more Muslims in India than in Pakistan.

“The way Pakistan has behaved so far, they have nothing to do with Islam at all.”

Owaisi is part of the MPs chosen from across the political divide to engage with the international community.

In Malaysia there have been calls for Malaysians to support Pakistan on the basis that is a fellow Muslim nation.
