S’gor MB: Probe on Putra Heights gas pipeline fire was done independently without state government interference
The probe into the gas pipeline fire in Putra Heights, Subang Jaya was done independently and transparently without interference from the state government, said Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amiruddin Shari.
“The reality is, the investigation was conducted completely independently, with no interference from the state government..
“So, if there are parties disputing it, that does not mean the report is inaccurate,” he said at a press conference after launching the Publicity and Public Participation Programme for the Draft Local Plan of the Sepang Municipal Council, Selangor 2035 (Replacement), in Cyberjaya.
He also dismissed calls for another investigation to be made on the Putra Heights gas pipeline explosion that took place April 1.
“There’s no need to start another investigation from A to Z. We don’t need to spend another eight months on this, right?” he said.
Kampung Kuala Sungai Baru Residents’ Welfare Association were dissatisfied with the investigation and called for a review on the findings.
“Those who are unhappy can review the report themselves and identify who was responsible. It provides a picture of the responsible parties.
“We can’t simply assume that everything was interfered with. Perceptions cannot be proven scientifically or with certainty,” he said.
Amirudin added that the full report of the investigation on the incident would be made public in due time.
“I will make the investigation public once permission is obtained and (anyone) may review it to find out who is responsible and (the report) contains an explanation of that.
