RM2 billion in levy fund accessible for employers on one condition

Up to RM2 billion in the Human Resources Department levy fund is now accessible to employers who hire university graduates or TVET graduates.

Employers would be able to use the funds to pay salary to their workers who are the above stated graduates effective from September onwards.

“As a Merdeka gift, I am unlocking up to RM2 billion in HRD levy fund for you to hire Malaysian graduates beginning 1 September 2025.

“You will now be able to use your levy money to pay the salary of your workers if they are university graduates or TVET graduates.

“I hope by doing this, we will not only help you, the bosses, to improve cashflow, but really also place a greater premium on human capital, creating more higher paying jobs and providing on the job training for our graduates,” announced Human Resources Minister Steven Sim.

He said this while delivering his speech at the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturing annual dinner last night
