Johor PKR eyes for three parliament seats, Muar among them

Johor PKR is eyeing to win over three parliamentary seats in the 16th general election.

The three are Muar, Pagoh and Mersing,” said Johor PKR chief Dr Zaliha Mustafa.

There is a special focus on Muar as she believes there is a high chance for PKR to win it.

“In GE16, Johor PKR will work towards wresting Muar. We’re confident the rakyat will be with us in bringing meaningful change to the area,” she was quoted as saying at an event in Muar, Johor.

The Muar seat is held by former Muar president, Syed Saddiq when he was still in Bersatu in 2018.

Back then he had contested along with Pakatan Harapan.

The other two seats are no less interesting too.

Pagoh and Mersing are held by Bersatu.

Pagoh is held by Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin whereas Mersing, by a Bersatu newcomer, Islahuddin Abas.
