GHRF chief slaps RM250,000 defamation suit against Tik Tok cum PKIPN activist

Global Human Rights Federation (GHRF) chief S Shashi Kumar slapped a RM250,000 defamation suit against Joseph Prakash Sukumaran who operates a TikTok account NGO PKIPN_Official.

Joseph Prakash is the founder of Pertubuhan Kebajikan Integriti Persahabatan Nasional (PKIPN)

The defamatory remarks was made in three videos and one live video.

In the live video, Joseph claimed that Shashi made a false statement to the late influencer Rajeswary Appahu’s mother, Madam Pushpa that he was a lawyer. Rajeswary was better known as Esha.

In a recorded video, Joseph said that Madam Pushpa confirmed that Shashi was a lawyer along with another activist, Arun Dorasamy.

In a third video, Joseph demanded Shashi and Arun to return Rajeswary’s post mortem report as they allegedly conned Pushpa to obtain the report.

In addition to that he also implied that Shashi was wanted by the government

Joseph also allegedly used a snapshot of a press conference featuring Shashi and Swashna. In this, he painted both of them in a negative light.

In a fourth video Joseph also reiterated claims that Shashi was a lawyer and that Pushpa had a photocopy of her daughter’s post-mortem report.

In light of this, Shashi wants all the defamatory videos to be deleted.

Joseph Prakash is required to cease and desist from publishing further defamatory statements.

He is also required make an unconditional apology and retraction in writing and via NGO PKIPN_Official which shall be maintained on the account.

These are, aside from the RM250,000 damages over the loss of reputation.
