‘In the spirit of Sabah, we want to contest using our logo’

UPKO- the Sabah based Pakatan Harapan component has proposed that it contest the party polls using its own logo.

The matter is however still under discussion and no final word was made by the PH presidential council, said UPKO president Ewon Benedick.

“We want PH to have an emphasis on the Sabah spirit, which is why UPKO has proposed to use its own logo. I believe our fellow PH leaders understand UPKO’s position on this matter,” he said last night.

“For me as long as discussions are ongoing, let them continue until a decision is made. Once there is a decision we will announce it,” he told reporters.

There are speculations that UPKO would contest under its own logo

Ewon confirmed that he would be defending the Kadamaian state seat in the polls.

A total of 73 seats are up for grabs.

Election Commission is expected to decide the polling date on Oct 16.
