“The key focus in the Malaysian Education Development Plan that is being developed is access and equity which stresses on equality for quality education opportunity without discriminating their social, economic, disability backgrounds,” said Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek

“This means every student, including those in Tamil primary schools would gain access to physical and digital studying sources and soace to develop one’s potential holistically.

“This approach would ensure our national education system remain sustainable, of quality, relevant, inclusive and parallel to the aspiration to create a competitive generation who can face global challenges

“Hence, the needs of Tamil stream education would not only get due attention but remain as part of the overall national education policy,” she said.

She said this in her written reply to Datuk Seri M Saravanan (BN-Tapah) who questioned whether the Education Ministry had plans to create a Tamil School Development plan with short and long term goals to ensure sustainable and quality education in Tamil schools.
