This is why there is a constraint in teaching Chinese language in secondary schools

Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek pointed out that her ministry was prepared to take in 200 new Chinese language teachers for secondary schools.

However the constraints are due to number of applicants who get through the system.

“To support the teaching and learning of Chinese language, the Education Ministry estimated to take in 200 teachers for the Chinese Language option at 200.

“However the appointments are based on the number of applicants accepted,” she said in her written reply to Datuk Seri Wee Jeck Seng (BN-Tanjung Piai)

Wee had asked the ministry to justify the constraints in having Chinese language classes in secondary schools and immediate intervention measures undertaken.
