'MIC using PN application as a bargaining chip'

A source within the opposition bloc Perikatan Nasional claimed that reports about MIC joining them was leaked out by MIC itself.

“In policy we have accepted them on Dec 9 last year. They would now need to submit an application.

“We believe this is being used by MIC as a bargaining chip as it is attending the BN supreme council,” said a source to Harapan Daily.

The source also confirmed that the admission was not supposed to be leaked out until MIC went through the due process.

Earlier today, it was reported that PN has accepted MIC as a component in principle.
