MIC to discuss entry into PN soon
MIC has confirmed that it will convene its central working committee (CWC) meeting soon to discuss its entry into the federal opposition, Perikatan Nasional (PN).
Its president Tan Sri SA Vigneswaran confirmed that he would chair the meeting but stopped short of stating when it would be held.
“I will discuss the matter with the central working committee to join PN. We will meet very soon and announce the date,” he said.
PN’s now former chairman Tan Sri Mahiaddin Yassin, on Thursday, confirmed that PN approved MIC’s application in December.
The motion for MIC to leave BN was passed during the party’s 79th general assembly in December.
BN chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had told both MCA and MIC to sulking and remain in BN.
