Durian Tunggal police shootings: Why no one arrested and charged?
The Durian Tunggal police shootings once again caught the attention of federal lawmakers.
RSN Rayer (PH-Jelutong) questioned why the culprits involved were not detained and charged.
“Why were those involved not detained and charged for murder. The investigators are still waiting for bullet casings.
“Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim himself has called for an open investigation.”
Rayer said this while debating the royal address of thanks to the Agong in Dewan Rakyat.
He was referring to the case of three Indians – Puspanathan Murulitharan, 21; Poonesvaran Tiagarajan, 24; and Logeswaran Georgie, 29 – who were killed on November 24.
Police had initially claimed that the three were wanted criminals however the way they were executed and recordings of a phone conversation revealed that the last moments before they were killed.
