Hamzah not attending Bersatu disciplinary board hearing tomorrow?

Bersatu’s leadership crisis continues as its embattled deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin would not be attending a disciplinary board hearing scheduled tomorrow.

Hamzah who is also Opposition Leader is in Sydney, Australia to accompany and assist his daughter with her university enrolment, his private secretary Ahmad Ikhwan Fadhli confirmed.

Hamzah received the notice to appear on Feb 7.

“He immediately notified the disciplinary board that he could not attend,” he said, New Straits Times reported.

Hamzah had also informed Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul on Feb 4 that he would be unable to attend the Dewan Rakyat sitting from Feb 5 to Feb 13.

Media reported that Hamzah has been summoned to appear before the party’s disciplinary board to assist in an investigation into his alleged involvement in the chaos during the annual general assembly and attacks on president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

There are four complaints filed against Hamzah who is Larut MP.
