Submit complete details by March 8, PHEB tells Hindu temples
All of the Hindu temples in Penang are required submit complete details to the Penang Hindu Endowment Board (PHEB).
The details needs to be submitted by March 8.
“The main purpose of this initiative by the PHEB is to gather accurate and updated information on Hindu temples across Penang. This will help us easily identify and assist any temple that may be facing issues,” announced the state agency via Facebook.
“All information submitted will be treated as strictly confidential. Data provided will be used solely for legal, policy, and engagement purposes related to Hindu temple land matters in Penang.
“Temple committees are encouraged to provide accurate and complete details, and to upload all relevant supporting documents where requested.
“This ensures proper assessment and enables coordinated action with the appropriate authorities.
PHEB deputy chairman Senator Dr A Lingeshwaran told Harapan Daily that the board wants to collect data first before resolving issues regarding the temples.
“We want to collect data first. From there on, we will have a working plan,” he said.
