RON95 rises to RM3.87, but Malaysians continue to enjoy RM1.99 subsidised price
Amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia, the MADANI Government has assured that subsidised RON95 will remain at RM1.99 per litre through BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) to protect the rakyat.
The Ministry of Finance Malaysia said in a statement, prices of other fuels will be adjusted gradually in line with the increase in global prices since late February 2026.
Currently, global crude oil has risen by more than 40% to exceed US$100 per barrel, increasing the risk of disruptions to global oil supply.
Following this, in line with the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM), the retail prices of petrol and diesel for the period of 26 March to 1 April 2026 are as follows:
RON97 RM5.15 per litre (25 March 2026 price: RM4.55 per litre)
RON95 without subsidy RM3.87 per litre (25 March 2026 price: RM3.27 per litre)
Subsidised RON95 (BUDI95) RM1.99 per litre (25 March 2026 price: RM1.99 per litre)
Diesel (Peninsular Malaysia) RM5.52 per litre (25 March 2026 price: RM4.72 per litre)
Diesel (Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan) RM2.15 per litre (25 March 2026 price: RM2.15 per litre)
“The MADANI Government remains committed to protecting the well-being of the rakyat amid the volatile global oil market.
“Although Malaysia is an oil-producing country, domestic fuel prices are still influenced by global markets as a large portion of supply is obtained from the international market,” the Ministry of Finance said.
