Kazakhstan to join Abraham Accords
Kazakhstan will announce that it is joining the Abraham Accords on Thursday, a senior US administration official told AFP, in a largely symbolic move as the central Asian republic already has diplomatic ties with Israel.
US special envoy Steve Witkoff said earlier that a new country would join the accords, under which four Arab nations have normalised ties with Israel. Kazakhstan’s president is visiting the White House later Thursday.
There are four nations who have already signed Abraham Accords – UAE, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco.
