Motion to suspend Takiyuddin today
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail would be moving a motion to suspend Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan (PN-Kota Bharu) from attending Dewan Rakyat session and Selection Committee meeting for six months.
The motion is listed in the Dewan Rakyat Order Paper.
The motion is being tabled due to Takiyuddin’s allegations that the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency had ambushed Rusila Mosque in Marang. He had made the allegation on Oct 22 while debating Budget 2026 at the policy stage.
He equated the incident to the Memali Incident that took place in 1985 and gave a negative image to MMEA.
Saifuddin also points out that Batu Buruk state assemblyman Khalil Abdul Hadi and Marang MP Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang were informed about the Star Team Commando Basic Course operation by MMEA via the police respectively on Oct 6 and 13.
