MIPP sends letter to Hadi, Mahiaddin over illegal houses of worship rally
Perikatan Nasional’s Indian component party MIPP has confirmed that it has sent official letters to its Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang and Bersatu president Tan Sri Mahiaddin Yassin to forbid its members from attending the upcoming the Anti Illegal Houses of Worship rally.
“Our party president have send official letter to Pas president and Bersatu president to stop members and leaders not to join the rally.
“It is to maintain PN relationship and uphold national harmony, peace and security,” said its information chief Justin Prabakaran.
The rally is led by independent Indian Muslim convert preacher Zamri Vinoth Kalimuthu as its coordinator of a coalition of 141 NGOs.
The rally is scheduled to take place in front of Sogo at night on Feb 7.
The issue was raised Selangor Pas Youth has not imposed any restrictions for its members to join the rally.
In a related development, RSN Rayer (PH-Jelutong) has urged the government to take action against the rally organisers during the Dewan Rakyat session.
