Who is plotting attacks against Ramanan?
In recent days Malaysiakini has unearthed yet another so-called whistleblower named Victor Chin.
This man is like an Albert Teh 2.0, once again trying to convince the whole world to sympathise with him because his alleged bribery attempts have not worked out.
Firstly, this is Malaysiakini, a media outlet bogged down with embezzlement reports and bribery charges of its own.
Secondly, Victor Chin is being vague in his claims, stating simply that a PKR MP (codenamed Mr R) had asked him to pay RM10million in cash to resolve his problems.
Claiming he paid RM9.5 million by Oct 18 last year, Chin threatened to expose the MP’s identity if the funds were not returned by March 30.
“I have never met the man. I don’t know him, I have never spoken to him. How can I take RM9.5 million from someone I have never met?” Human Resources Minister Ramanan told a press conference here today.
He had to defend himself against questionable reports stating that he was Mr R.
Ramanan claimed that former PKR deputy president Rafizi had weaponised cybertroopers to further such allegations because he had an “evil agenda to split the party”.
“He is a coward – he knew that he failed, so he quickly resigned, and now he is criticising and lambasting people to show that he is the greatest,” said Ramanan.
It’s also no coincidence that today MIC deputy president M Saravanan performed another U-turn today on his party quitting BN to join PN.
Saravanan is known to covet Ramanan’s position as the sole Tamil minister in cabinet.
