BN withdrawal fails to unseat Aminuddin as he remains Negeri Sembilan MB
Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun today confirmed he will continue carrying out his duties as Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan despite 14 Barisan Nasional (BN) assemblymen withdrawing their support
Aminuddin said he had received advice from the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, to remain in office after presenting the latest political developments in the state during an audience earlier today.
Addressing speculation over a possible dissolution of the state assembly, he told a press conference that there is currently no necessity to dissolve the Negeri Sembilan legislative assembly.
This means the state government will continue to function as usual in the interest of the people.
However, five state executive council (Exco) positions will be vacated following BN’s withdrawal of support from his administration.
