After 14 BN assemblymen withdrew support, this is Zahid Hamidi’s response

BN Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has clarified that the move made by 14 Barisan Nasional (BN) assemblymen to withdraw support from Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun is a decision made by the party’s state leadership.

He however admitted that the party’s top leadership had been informed about the action taken by the group of UMNO assemblymen.

He said the party’s system usually respects decisions made by state liaison bodies or state assemblymen.

Ahmad Zahid also said the party’s top leadership will meet soon to study the decision made by Negeri Sembilan BN and the political implications expected to arise from the move.

“The decision made by Umno assemblymen in Negri Sembilan is their own decision,” he told reporters here today, added that the issue will be discussed at the Umno Supreme Council and Umno Political Bureau meetings.
