10 Malaysians confirmed detained by zionist, this is SNCC’s response so far
The Sumud Nusantara Control Centre (SNCC) has confirmed that 10 Malaysians participating in the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) 2.0 humanitarian mission were among 186 individuals currently detained by Zionist forces, today.
Its Director-General, Datuk Dr Sani Araby, said all those aboard six of the 22 vessels were detained between 1am and 11am Malaysian time, or 6pm Greece time.
The detained Malaysians include veteran journalist and humanitarian activist Zainal Rashid Ahmad, also known as ZRA, who was aboard the vessel Arkham III, along with Osman Zolkifli and Dr Jihan Alya Mohd Nordin, both on board the Eros 1.
Also detained were Mohd Shamsir Mohd Isa (vessel Esplai), Hazwan Hazim Dermawan, Mohd Hanafi Mohd Salim, Ahmad Musa Al-Nuwayri Kamaruzaman, Norhelmi Ab Ghani (vessel Bianca BCN), Mohd Redzal Amzah (vessel Freia) and Muhamad Muhzin Zaidi (vessel Marea).
He said the vessels were aggressively approached by Zionist forces while positioned at 656 nautical miles, within a fully legitimate and internationally guaranteed sailing zone.
During this time, the IDF reportedly escalated tensions by firing warning shots at the vessels and initiating threatening radio frequency interference against the activists.
These actions were intended to disrupt the movements and communications of the unarmed humanitarian team.
In response to the situation, SNCC has urged the Malaysian public to perform special prayers, including solat hajat and qunut nazilah, for the safety of the activists, while providing a live tracking link for real-time monitoring of the fleet’s status..
The mission remains committed to its humanitarian objectives, with officials urging the public to rely only on verified updates from the command centre to avoid misinformation or propaganda
