Kamala Harris on strike mode against ‘predator’ Trump

In her maiden campaign for presidency, Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris aggressively went after her opponent – Republican’s Donald Trump.

“Predators who abused women. Fraudsters who ripped off consumers. Cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain. So hear me when I say I know Donald Trump’s type,” she said to applause.

She also compared her background as a former prosecutor to his record as a convicted felon.

She said she would expand abortion access, make it easier for workers to unionise and address gun violence if she is voted into office. These stands are in contrast to Trump.

Despite being a replacement to President Joe Biden who opted out of the race, a Reuters/Ipsos poll indicated that Harris has a slim edge over the Republican candidate.

Kamala has a two percent edge over Trump who has 42% support. Biden was trailing by two percent before he quit.

In the event Kamala defeats Trump, she would be the first female US president as well as the first Black and Asian American female president.
