RM100 million allocated to boost security in north Peninsular Malaysia

A new allocation of RM100 million have been announced to boost up security facilities along the northern border of Peninsular Malaysia.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim justified the allocation on the basis that the current border securities were dilapidated.

He called for the fund to released as soon as possible so that the upgrading work can commence at the soonest.

He announced this in the wake of his upcoming meeting with Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin.

Anwar and Srettha are expected to meet in early August to discuss various issues including border security as well spurring the growth of north Peninsula and south Thailand.
