Petition launched after Adeline Chang’s mistreatment of disabled GrabFood driver

Adeline Chang Pei Yi’s mistreatment of a disabled GrabFood driver led netizens to not only condemn her actions but also start a petition against her.

A petition was created on Change.org by the user “Say No To Adeline Chang Pei Yi” to urge Malaysia’s judiciary to address all her actions.

“We hope to gather signatures to prompt Malaysia’s judiciary to address all her actions both online and offline!” said the creator of the petition.

She had ordered food from GrabFood but refused to accept the delivery, expressing concerns about hygiene due to the driver being disabled, which she explained in a Facebook video.

She also claimed that the delivery worker yelled and made inappropriate gestures which angered the public.

The video has been taken down since then.

Later she expressed her regrets about the incident on Facebook.

“I’m very sorry about the incident with the GrabFood driver yesterday. I apologise. Last night, my mother personally apologized to the driver, and I would like to say it again here,” she said via a Facebook post.

Adeline Chang was infamous for dodging e-hailing fares and mistreating e-hailing riders.

She frequently tried to avoid paying e-hailing drivers after requesting their services.
