Draft MOU on constituency allocation to be handed over to PN

The draft MOU on constituency allocation distribution for the opposition MPs has been finalised and ready for submission, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

The draft would be delivered to Perikatan Nasional chief whip Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.

“I will forward the draft agreement to Takiyuddin for their review. Should they agree to the terms, we will then arrange a joint committee meeting between the opposition and the government,” he said.

He said this in response to calls by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who called for an immediate resolution to the issue of funds allocation that has been a bane for the opposition bench.

Fadillah revealed the above while launching the Putrajaya Car Free Day and the Civil Service Premier Assembly (MAPPA) XIX 2024 today.

Fadillah is also Energy Transition and Water Transformation Minister.

Anwar remarked that the allocation issue should bot be complicated on July 9.
