Prime minister to present Madani Economy report on August 17

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will present the Madani Economy report during the closing ceremony of the Southern Zone Madani Rakyat (PMR) Programme 2024 on Aug 17.

He will also deliver an address at the event.

Ahmad Jefry Aziz@Adan, executive director of the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU), noted that the highlight of the event will be Anwar’s address and the presentation of the Madani Economy report.

“The focus of this programme is on the closing ceremony… the Prime Minister will give a brief address regarding the achievements of the Madani Economy for one year.

“There will also be a forum session featuring the Prime Minister, Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh, and Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli,” he said, reported Bernama.

Ahmad Jefry emphasized that the government’s transparent approach during the forum session was essential for the public’s understanding of its agenda.

The event is scheduled to take place at Dataran Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) from August 15 to 17.

The programme—encompassing Johor, Negri Sembilan, and Melaka—is organized by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) through the PACU, in strategic collaboration with the Economy Ministry and the Johor government.
