Why is there absence of police action against Mythreyar?
An activist questioned the lack of police action against pro-Palestinian supporter who insulted Hindus and the various Indian communities despite numerous police reports that was lodged.
“There has been no police action taken against Mythreyar even though he insulted Hindus and the various Indian ethnicities in Malaysia. This is a serious offence as it involves a 3R case.
“Why is it so?,” said S Shashi Kumar who heads the Global Human Rights Federation.
“Are there double standards, ignorance and lackadaisical attitude on the part of the police?”
3R refers to race, religion and royalty.
He also revealed that he had written an official letter to the Classified Crimes Investigation Department in Bukit Aman dated Sept 14 that Harapan Daily viewed but there has been no forthcoming response from the police force.
M Mythreyar who is a pro-Palestinian activist gained the media limelight for doing a solo hunger strike to protest the alleged involvement of BlackRock Inc, an investment firm linked to Israel, in the share takeover of MAHB.
Subsequently he landed in hot soup for insulting Hindus and the various Indian ethnicities on a live TikTok session.
A group of 35 NGOs lodged police reports against Mythreyar at the Sentul district police headquarters on Aug 25. Many more followed suit in other parts of Peninsula Malaysia.
