An image of a Fennec helicopter making an emergency landing on a road was widely circulated online after an accident involving 2 naval helicopters happened today.

The image was not fraudulent but it dates back to 2021.

Surprisingly, several media outlets and even the Lumut National Security Council posted the outdated image, according to China Press.

Incidents involving helicopters also occurred in 2021.

On 26 June 2021, a Royal Malaysian Navy Fennec helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing during a routine operational flight at the RMN Base today.

Tragedy struck earlier today as two Malaysian Armed Forces helicopters collided mid-air in Lumut, Perak, resulting in the loss of 10 lives.
